Job Description

Work you can be proud of. This is what you'll be doing: The energy transition. We're in the thick of it, but we're far from done yet. As a Product Owner, you'll play a key role in this transition. You'll be responsible for your team's product backlog and create backlog items with demonstrable value for Stedin. You'll inform stakeholders about the product roadmap and the progress of delivering (partial) products. Together with the Product Manager and Solution Architect, you'll communicate a clear product vision, always prioritizing Stedin, its customers, and stakeholders. Security, availability, and performance are naturally important. In this role, you'll be responsible for the Digital Collaboration team's backlog. In the future, you may also work as a Product Owner within other teams. The core of your role: As a Digital Collaboration Product Owner, you'll be the driving force behind an environment where colleagues can collaborate safely and productively. You'll lead a team of technical and functional specialists responsible for the Microsoft 365 suite and other collaboration and productivity applications. Think Microsoft Teams, Copilot, Power Platform (excluding Power BI), and Miro—as well as digital meeting rooms and smart office solutions. Working at Stedin is about more than just technology. You'll enable hybrid collaboration for thousands of colleagues. With your expertise, you'll build a modern digital work environment based on Microsoft 365—secure, user-friendly, and future-proof. You'll inspire your team with clear goals, provide guidance where necessary, and foster ownership. You'll work closely with the Scrum Master. Together with other Product Owners and the Product Manager within the Agile Release Train, you'll develop a comprehensive vision for digital collaboration. Your strengths—that's what makes us happy: You thrive in a dynamic environment and keep a cool head, even when facing complex challenges. You're confident in engaging others, have a strong point of view, and are confident. Stakeholder management is second nature to you: you know how to convincingly communicate a vision—to both technical teams and business partners. You think in terms of solutions instead of problems and know how to get colleagues on board with your vision—in both Dutch and English. Sound familiar? Then you'll feel right at home at Stedin. What makes you our new Product Owner? - You have a completed higher professional education (HBO) or university degree and at least 5 years of experience as a Product Owner in a technical Agile IT environment. You have extensive experience with stakeholder management and know how to translate requirements into epics, features, and stories. You communicate excellently—both verbally and in writing—in Dutch and English. You have experience working within an Agile Scrum team or according to the SAFe framework, and are a certified Product Owner. You have demonstrable experience with the Microsoft 365 suite, as a Product Owner or specialist. A great team—you belong! From day one, you will be part of the Agile Release Train: ART Workplace. This department consists of several Scrum teams. Your team consists of approximately five specialists: a Tech Lead, a Scrum Master, and you as the Product Owner. We work according to the Agile/SAFe methodology. There's plenty of laughter, lunch, and walks together, and there's room for honest feedback. We invest in professional and personal development—that forms the foundation for innovation at Stedin. The team is becoming increasingly autonomous and works partly from home, but also meets regularly in Rotterdam or Delft. Rotterdam Blaak is your base – with a view of the city. Need a break or finished work? Within minutes, you can be in the Markthal or on a terrace in the Oude Haven. What unites us? The drive to solve puzzles and arrive at the best solutions together. To enhance transparency and collaboration, Stedin uses "Big Room Planning" – a two-day (Agile) SAFe meeting held quarterly. Colleagues from IT and business come together to determine what will be developed for the coming quarter.
