IT Project Manager (ITPM)

Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead end-to-end project delivery within the Banking & Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with Westpac or other Tier-1 Australian banks, demonstrating strong delivery management, governance, and stakeholder engagement skills.The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing technology initiatives while ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and compliance standards.Key Responsibilities:Manage the full project lifecycle — from initiation and planning to delivery and closure.Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in alignment with stakeholders.Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.Oversee vendor deliverables, ensuring alignment with business and IT objectives.Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.Drive delivery through Agile or Waterfall methodologies as required.Manage communication with senior stakeholders, steering committees, and governance forums.Prepare and present project status reports, financials, and dashboards.Required Skills & Experience:✅ 8+ years of total IT experience with 5+ years in IT Project Management✅ Proven track record delivering complex IT projects (preferably in banking/financial sector)✅ Westpac experience or prior exposure to large Australian banks is highly preferred✅ Hands-on experience managing infrastructure or application migration projects✅ Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery frameworks
