Project Manager – Banking Location: Dublin – Hybrid (3 days on-site)Contract Length: 6 months initiallyRate: Competitive day rate (DOE)IT Search are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a day-rate contract role with a major banking client based in Dublin. This is an initial 6-month engagement with a strong likelihood of extension. The role follows a hybrid model, requiring 3 days on-site per week. Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology and business change projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Manage project scope, timelines, risks, issues, and financials across a portfolio of complex initiatives.
Work across a variety of domains including application development, systems integration, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades. Serve as the primary escalation point for technology delivery, acting as a trusted liaison between stakeholders and delivery teams. Collaborate closely with Change Management and Business Stakeholders, ensuring smooth delivery and transition. Ensure governance and compliance with methodologies (Agile, SAFe, PMP), documentation standards, and internal controls. Drive regular status reporting and facilitate governance forums, producing clear and concise communications for senior leadership. Requirements: 7+ years’ experience in end-to-end project management across technology and/or change projects.
Strong track record of delivering results in regulated environments, preferably within the financial services sector. Proven experience managing project budgets, risk frameworks, and stakeholder communications at all levels. Experience working in Agile environments; Agile certification is essential (Scrum Master or RTE). Familiarity with SAFe methodology highly desirable. Excellent communication, planning, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities under pressure. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Bachelor’s degree required; PMP Certification a plus.
