Who We AreBy joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.This purposeful project will not only give you the opportunity to have an impact on one of the key topics within the European Union, it will also offer you various professional opportunities, let you experience a collaborative environment, using cutting-edge technologies and experiencing diversity in your everyday professional life.What You'll Be DoingPlaying a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient delivery and management of IT services within the organization.Overseeing daily IT operations, ensuring compliance, and continuously monitoring service performance metrics to implement necessary improvements.Creating and implementing IT service strategies that align with business needs, integrating new technologies, and driving ongoing service improvements.Managing IT service incidents and problems efficiently to minimize downtime, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing preventative measures.Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, addressing concerns, and incorporating feedback to enhance IT service quality.Recruiting, training, and supervising IT service team members while fostering a collaborative and customer-focused work environment.Ensuring IT services comply with regulations, implementing security policies, and maintaining data protection best practices.Managing IT service budgets, optimizing resource utilization, and negotiating vendor contracts to enhance service delivery.Overseeing IT services related to infrastructure management, cloud transitions, business-agnostic IT systems, and data exchange platforms.What You'll Bring AlongBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum 5-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale IT projects of experience in IT service management, preferably within a governmental institution.Strong leadership and communication skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel when needed.A commitment to meeting stakeholder expectations and needs.Precision in managing IT service operations and compliance.The ability to anticipate challenges and implement solutions proactively.Excellent command of both spoken and written English
