Job Description

Position The IT Site Administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization's IT systems at our Hawthorne facility. This role ensures reliable network connectivity, hardware and security compliance, and timely support for end-users. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled at troubleshooting IT issues across a complex environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage On-Site IT Operations: Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, networking devices, and peripheral equipment. Support Users: Provide timely technical support to employees, troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues. Network Administration: Monitor and maintain local area network (LAN), wireless networks, and secure remote access. Security and Compliance: Ensure data protection, backup procedures, and compliance with IT security policies. System Maintenance: Perform routine system updates, patch management, and software installations. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, incidents, and service requests; prepare regular reports on IT performance and issues. Application Support: Assist users with use of business applications used at Mynaric. Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with external vendors for hardware procurement, software licensing, and service contracts. Disaster Recovery Support: Assist with business continuity planning, ensuring minimal downtime in case of technical disruptions.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. Proven experience in IT administration, preferably in a site-based or multi-site environment. Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments, Active Directory, networking, and security protocols. Familiarity with cloud computing services (e.g., Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure) is preferred.
