Backed by Lightspeed, Khosla, Coatue, industry leaders like Nat Friedman (former GitHub CEO), as well as board members of over 20+ F500s, Distyl is building the future of AI-powered enterprise operationsWhat We Are Looking ForWe're seeking an IT Specialist to serve as a vital member of our IT team, delivering exceptional technical support while taking ownership of key IT projects. In this hands-on role, you'll split your time between resolving support requests, maintaining critical systems, and executing improvement initiatives that directly impact our organization.Working closely with our IT Manager, you'll balance responsive end-user support with independent project execution. This position offers strong growth potential for someone who excels at both technical troubleshooting and driving meaningful improvements to our infrastructure. You'll handle everything from daily support tickets to implementing new tools and automating workflows—ensuring our team has the technology they need while continuously enhancing our IT operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSaaS & Application ManagementAdminister assigned SaaS applications including user provisioning, access controls, and license managementUnderstanding of Google Context aware access monitor vs enforcement.Execute integration projects and optimize workflows across our 25+ application ecosystemMonitor usage, maintain documentation, and identify optimization opportunitiesDevice & Identity ManagementManage MDM platform for device enrollment, configuration, and complianceHandle complete hardware lifecycle from procurement to secure decommissioningExecute SSO integrations and maintain role-based access controlsUnderstanding of SAML, OIDC, MFA, Okta Auth policiesAutomate user provisioning workflows and conduct routine access auditsSecurity & ComplianceEnforce MFA, perform access reviews, and monitor security dashboards (Sumo Logic)Follow incident response procedures and escalate security concerns appropriatelyTrack software licenses, maintain asset inventory, and support compliance auditsEnsure secure onboarding/offboarding processes and data handlingInfrastructure & SupportManage VPN (Tailscale), office networks, Wi-Fi, and conference room technologyExecute backup procedures and participate in disaster recovery exercisesTroubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across hybrid workforceCollaborate with DevOps on network configurations as neededService DeliveryPrimary responder for IT support via Slack, meeting SLAs (30-minute response, 4-hour resolution)Provide hands-on support for AV equipment, printers, and office technologyCreate and maintain IT documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articlesDeliver IT onboarding training and develop self-service resourcesContinuous ImprovementIdentify patterns in support requests and implement systematic solutionsAssist in evaluating and rolling out new tools and technologiesWork with vendors for procurement, support, and issue resolutionContribute to process improvements and automation initiativesWhat We Require3–5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or similar hands-on roles.Experience managing SaaS applications, device management, and troubleshooting across macOS and Windows.Familiarity with IAM/SSO concepts (Kandji, Jamf, Okta, or similar).Understanding of basic networking (VPN, firewalls, DNS, Wi-Fi).Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.A passion for learning and willingness to grow into advanced IT responsibilities.Nice to HaveCompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Bash, Python).Exposure to fast-paced startup environments or distributed teams.Interest in AI/ML or supporting AI-native workflows.Experience contributing to IT environments that have scaled from 100 to 500+ employees (nice plus).What We OfferCompetitive salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits (medical/dental/vision fully covered for you and dependents).401(k), commuter benefits, catered lunches, and onsite work (5 days/week in NYC).Opportunity to shape IT strategy at the forefront of AI adoption in the enterprise.Collaborative, mission-driven environment with focus on growth and development.Direct impact on Fortune 1000 deployments and company trajectory.Distyl AI is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering diversity and inclusion.
