IT Support Engineer

Job Summary:Zameen.com is looking to recruit a skilled professional for its 'IT Support Engineer' post.The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners. Furthermore, they will be tasked with monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks, responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests, and talking to clients and computer users to determine the nature of any problems they encounter.Job Responsibilities:Provide first-level technical support to all employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.Troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and connectivity issues (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and passwords (Active Directory, Microsoft 365, etc.).Support email configuration, backup operations, and antivirus management.Ensure proper documentation of IT assets, incidents, and resolutions.Coordinate with vendors or service providers for hardware repairs, internet, or network issues.Assist in setting up new sites, offices, or departments including cabling, device setup, and connectivity.Support video conferencing, VoIP, and other communication tools.Maintain compliance with IT policies, data security standards, and backup procedures.Provide end-user training for common IT tools and best practices.Job Requirement:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.1-2 years of experience in network and system administration with a focus on security.A strong understanding of G Suite (Google Workspace), including user management, email configuration, and administrative controlsIn-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, BGP, OSPF) and secure network architectures.Hands-on experience with firewall technologies (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA) and VPN configurations.Strong knowledge of server administration (Windows, Linux), system hardening techniques, and user authentication protocols (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory).Proficiency in configuring security technologies such as IDS/IPS, encryption tools, and endpoint protection.Location: Lahore
