Location: Remote in the U.S.Commitment: 10 hours per weekDuration: 2 months, opportunity for extensionType: ContractAbout The RoleWe’re looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support and assist with systems management, user troubleshooting, and infrastructure setup. This short-term, part-time role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in IT operations, networking, and security who enjoys solving problems and optimizing systems in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide remote technical support to end users, troubleshooting issues related to networks, applications, and operating systems (Windows and macOS). Deploy and maintain Cloudflare Zero Trust and other networking/security tools. Manage and configure devices using JumpCloud or similar device management solutions. Administer and troubleshoot Google Workspace accounts and understand IAM (Identity and Access Management) principles. Maintain and improve security configurations across systems and users. Use GitHub for version control and perform basic scripting or automation tasks. Assist in documenting IT processes, policies, and troubleshooting steps. Qualifications3–5 years of professional IT support or systems administration experience. Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices. Hands-on experience with Cloudflare Zero Trust, JumpCloud, and Google Workspace. Proficiency with both Windows and macOS environments. Familiarity with GitHub and basic scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, or Python). Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment. IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) or security-focused certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM). Bonus SkillsExperience with endpoint security or MDM (Mobile Device Management). Exposure to automation or DevOps workflows.
