Mossop are committed to delivering exceptional results and it’s our 150+ staff that make this possible, going the extra mile and bringing their expertise to every project, no matter the size or value.About the Role:Reporting to the ICT Manager, the IT Systems Administrator (Level 2 Technician) plays a key role in maintaining and improving Mossop’s IT infrastructure. You’ll manage systems, networks, and cloud services while providing technical support that keeps our teams connected and productive.This is a hands-on role covering system administration, troubleshooting, security, and project delivery within a collaborative team environment.Duties include:Administer and maintain servers, storage, and network devices.Provide second-level technical support and resolve complex IT issues.Manage Active Directory, user permissions, and group policies.Implement and test backup and disaster recovery strategies.Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (Azure, Microsoft 365).Configure and monitor routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the IT knowledge base.Participate in IT projects, upgrades, and system deployments.Ensure compliance with security standards and internal policies.Collaborate with internal teams and external IT consultants.About You:You’re a technically strong IT professional with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy taking ownership of system performance and reliability.To succeed in this role, you will have:Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT role within a medium-sized corporate environment.Tertiary IT qualification or equivalent industry experience (desirable).Hands-on experience with:Microsoft Entra, Intune, SharePoint, Azure & Microsoft 365Windows Server, VMware, and networking technologiesVeeam backup solutions and scripting (PowerShell)Firewalls, routers, and switchesCybersecurity frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO27001, ASD8)Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.A strong customer focus and collaborative team spirit.Role Requirements:National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicleSatisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testWhy Join Mossop?At Mossop, we pride ourselves on being a people business built on teamwork, respect, and professional growth.
