Schedule/HoursJob DescriptionFirst Shift: Monday-Friday: 6:00 am-2:00 pmBasic PurposeThis position is responsible for clean-up issues associated with Safety, Quality and Sanitation projects in and around the plant.ResponsibilitiesThe janitor takes direction from the sanitation department and maintains parts of the plant on a scheduled basis for cleanliness. They will clean and maintain white lines, rest rooms and responds to cleaning functions as needed in the plant. Must follow all GMP requirements as they pertain to safety, quality, and food safety.Task DescriptionCleans parts of the plant on a scheduled basis.QualificationsQualifications:Must have the motor skills commensurate with the essential functions of the job.Must be trained in the proper operation of the equipment they will be using.Must be trained in the basics of good storage practice regulations.Must be able to work in a safe manner with serious regard for the quality of the materials being handled.Physical Requirements/Work EnvironmentThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Regularly required to work around operating equipment, stand, reach, pull, stoop and bend.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand. The employee is frequently required to use their hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, use tools or controls, and climb or balance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, low levels of toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electric shock and explosives. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
