We are seeking an experienced leader to accelerate adoption of MathWorks tools and Model-Based Design methods across the Japan automotive ecosystem.In this role, you will shape how the industry views MathWorks, working directly with executives at OEMs, suppliers, and technology partners. You will also collaborate closely with MathWorks’ sales, marketing, and engineering teams to define market strategies, influence product direction, and cultivate long-term relationships at the highest levels of the industry.MathWorks nurtures growth, appreciates diversity, encourages initiative, values teamwork, shares success, and rewards excellence., Drive growth and guide Japan automotive market developmentPartner with sales and services teams to identify strategic opportunities and secure high-impact engagements.Build trusted relationships with executives and technical leaders at OEMs, suppliers, and mobility innovators.Shape market perception of MathWorks and Model-Based DesignDeliver presentations, thought leadership, and industry events to highlight MathWorks’ role in software-defined product development.Work with industry associations and partners to broaden awareness and integrate complementary technologies into customer workflows.Create content/messaging to evolve the view of MathWorks tools in support for the development of software-defined products.Drive business strategy and influence product directionIdentify emerging opportunities in areas like electrification, autonomy, and digital engineering, and execute plans to increase adoption.Advocate for customer needs and market requirements to shape MathWorks’ product roadmap.Contribute to global initiatives with multinational accounts to deepen engagement and impact.,Master’s degree, or PhD, in engineeringStrong knowledge and hands-on experience (7+ years) with Model-Based Design (MATLAB, Simulink, or equivalent).Background in embedded software development and/or system-level simulation.Relevant experience with a leading automotive OEM, Tier-1 supplier, or technology provider.Proven ability to engage with senior executives and influence strategy.Strong motivation to work in a customer-facing role, supporting sales and services teams.Fluency in written and spoken Japanese and EnglishPreferred QualificationsMBAProduct marketing or business development experience with a global software company.LocationTokyo, Japan.
