Job Summary: The Junior Project Accountant supports the financial management of projects by assisting with Timesheets , invoicing , and reporting. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that the timekeeping reports and invoice backups are in compliance with contractual requirements and company policies. The Junior Project Accountant works closely with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to provide timely and reliable financial information. Assist in setting up new projects in financial systems Track staff hours, subcontractor invoices, and expenses against projects Support the preparation of weekly/monthly timesheet summary , staff activity reports on project Prepare and issue client invoices in accordance with contract terms and billing schedules Monitor accounts receivable for assigned projects and follow up on outstanding payments Assist in internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation Maintain organized records of project contracts, change orders, and financial correspondence Collaborate with project managers to ensure timesheet and invoicing adherence Monitor timekeeping compliance and notify relevant parties of overdue or incorrect submissions Provide training to new employees on the timesheet submission process and support staff with timesheets entry if neededRequirementsQualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field preferred Experience: 1- 3 years in an Accounting or Administrative role Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP Systems is preferred Communication: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and verification Organization: Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks
