The OpportunityWe have a unique opportunity for an experienced Bid Lead to join our tight-knit, high performing Business Development Team. This pivotal role will focus on leading ‘must win' pursuits and bids within the Australian market, driving the strategy and ensuring our point of difference is clear.
This includes managing an efficient, end-end bid process and coordinating inputs from a wide range of stakeholders to develop well written, client focused content - ultimately resulting in the high quality, winnable proposals. The Bid Lead will play an important role in coordinating our Key Account Management efforts in Australia, supporting our growth in this market. As part of our Trans-tasman team, the Bid Lead will also support pursuits and bids for our New Zealand clients when required.
This role will suit a motivated and energetic self-starter, who enjoys both being part of a team and at times working autonomously. You will bring new ideas to help our Business Development Team harness innovation and new technologies, as we continually improve our processes and enhance efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesAustralian market insights - keep our teams informed on evolving trends, news and market intelBid management - manage an efficient, effective bid process to meet deadlines, including appropriate reviewsBid writing - work with technical staff and stakeholders to produce high quality, client-centric written content, promoting the Jasmax brand and valuesCommercial insights - participate in bid commercial discussions, contribute insightful advice and ideasClient presentations - ensure bid presentations are of a high standard, on brand and aligned to our wider strategy.
Help prepare and coach technical teams before they meet our clientsBid feedback - analyse previous bid performance to refine future submissions and increase success ratesRequirements7+ years relevant experience in a similar Business Development role with a focus on bid management, strategy, writing and production Proven track record of delivering complex, well written bids in the Australian market Good knowledge of key players in the Australian property and construction sector (specifically architecture / urban and landscape design / interiors; engineering and development partners)Strong project management skills - ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven experience writing good quality bid content, with a high success rateStrong strategic thinking skillsResilience and the ability to thrive under pressureA growth mindset and a flexible, collaborative approach to problem solvingA natural ability to develop lasting, trusted relationshipsStrong influencing skillsProficient in the use of Microsoft Suite (including Office and Teams) and InDesign BenefitsAt Jasmax, we value our people and strive to support growth and wellbeing.
