In this role, you will be hands-on in designing, coding, testing, and supporting robust applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to improve existing systems and drive new development initiatives that deliver real impact.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring FrameworkDevelop and integrate RESTful APIs with frontend applications, with a strong focus on PAS and API developmentWork with databases such as MongoDB and MSSQL, including schema design, performance tuning, and indexingUse tools like Postman for API testing, debugging, and validationCollaborate with DevOps teams and apply basic knowledge of AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, IAM, API Gateway, ECS)Enhance and maintain internal systems and client-facing applicationsAnalyze existing systems and recommend modifications to meet changing business needsPrepare and maintain technical documentation, including program specs and user guidesConduct unit testing, prepare test data, and verify resultsParticipate in code reviews and quality assurance processesPerform basic data analysis to support development tasksStay updated on emerging technologies and best practicesRequired Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 2 years of hands-on Java programming experienceStrong knowledge of REST API development, Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JDBC/HibernateProficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.jsExperience with tools such as Postman, Git, Eclipse, and VSCodePractical experience with MongoDB and MSSQLFamiliar with performance engineering, application monitoring, and optimizationExposure to AWS services and DevOps practices is an advantageStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsGood communication and collaboration abilitiesWork Location: KL City CenterWork Arrangement: OnsitePlease note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time.Learn more about how we deliver excellence for our customers and colleagues:Website: http://www.dxc.comX: https://x.com/DXCTechnologyYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/DXCTechnologyInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/dxctechnologyAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
