With Procurement, Defines and negotiates the best contract conditions (type of contract, capabilities, quality, resources, price…). Takes the responsibility for the claims management and the final settlement of all contracts.
Main Scope/Responsibilities Contracts manager oversee projects from the start through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time and within its budgetA contracts manager is sometimes in charge of a single project, or may look after several smaller onesPrimary point of contact for members of clients, site managers and Contractors for as long as the contract lasts. Has the overall responsibility for an effective reporting to Project Manager and Procurement Department Head on a regular basisHas the overall responsibility for the issue of the inquiry/contract packages with respect to:
CompletenessConformance to Client’s requirementsA realistic approach with regard to the design package to be preparedConformance to JESA standard contract requirements (as far as possible, as specific Client’s requirements may prevail)Conformance to the management schedule for correct planning of the workProtection of JESA interests, with in general emphasis on payments, guarantees and risks; and specifically cost for projects including claims managementManaging and coordinating Contract teams and allocating work. Engineer or Industrial EngineerGlobal Experience10 years global experienceSpecific Experience In The Position10+ years of experience in Procurement, Construction or Project, preferably including 4+ years of experience in a field position dealing with extra work, claims, etc. and working together with all construction key personnel.
