Position SummaryWe’re looking for a strategic and driven Director of Procurement & Asset Management EMEA to lead our procurement, inventory, and tooling assets across multiple high-end aviation sites in Europe. Based in Basel, you’ll play a key role in supporting our MRO, Refurbishment (RMU), and Completions programs for the private aviation sector. This role is ideal for a visionary leader who thrives at the intersection of supply chain strategy, operational excellence, and aviation compliance. Main Responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team across procurement, inventory, tooling, and Capex functions.
Set clear objectives, manage team performance, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development. Procurement: Oversee regional procurement activities for aircraft parts, materials, and services. Drive cost-effective sourcing strategies while ensuring supplier quality, reliability, and alignment with project timelines. Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships; lead strategic sourcing initiatives to meet program and cost goals. Inventory Management: Define and manage optimal inventory levels across all sites to balance material availability with cost control. Implement robust inventory policies to minimize excess, reduce obsolescence, and ensure operational readiness.
Lead forecasting and stock optimization efforts in collaboration with planning and operations teams. Tooling Management: Develop and execute tooling investment plans and lifecycle strategies, including inter-site sharing and long-term planning. Expand and manage a revenue-generating tooling rental program, serving both internal needs and external customer projects. Capex Management: Own and manage the full Capex lifecycle for the EMEA region, from planning and budgeting to approval, execution, and reporting. Align capital projects with operational needs and long-term strategy. Partner with Finance, Engineering, and Operations to develop business cases and lead supplier selection for capital assets. Supply Chain Quality Management:
Oversee quality assurance processes across procurement, warehousing, and tooling functions. Lead internal and external audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts. Ensure full compliance with relevant aviation regulations (e. g. , EASA, FAA) and internal quality standards. Performance & Compliance: Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Program Management to ensure supply chain alignment with project and operational objectives. Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving opportunities. Ensure adherence to EASA/FAA regulations and uphold internal standards related to quality, safety, and ethics.
