Job Title: Senior Merchandiser Department: Merchandising Reporting to: Merchandising DirectorType of Contract : One year contract (Maternity Cover)Role Purpose: Support the department in merchandising forecast, sales analysis, stock movementNATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITIONAssist the manager/team in achieving assigned goals and objectives including gross margin, sales and total inventory turn for the assigned merchandise category & channel.
Select and purchase merchandise inclusive of timing, delivery, sizing and mix with a view to maximizing and driving the businessMaintain effective category merchandise control systems which are to include replenishment and seasonal merchandisePartnering with Merchandise Planning team to manage plans for stock levels, react to change/demand and logistics, reorders, cancellations, redirections and transfersPrepare all reports which including sales and merchandising forecasts, sales analysis, weekly sell-thru, re-orders and OTB sheetsApply the distribution strategy by replenishing the continuative stock with a view of optimization of the business including sizing, seasonal and logistic challengesResponsible for the management of age stock; create and maintain automatic replenishment templates; arrange transfer of stock and stock consolidation among responsible markets aiming to increase stock efficiencyFrequent and open communication with other departments regarding sales performanceLiaise with APAC on a regular basis regarding reorders, delivery schedules and orders entering, and maintaining accuracy in data for our departmentWork closely with Finance to create and implement plans to maximize gross profit by coordinating sales, gross margin, inventory turnover and markdowns for outletReview the need for reorders and liaise with DC/logistics Ad hoc reporting needs for HQQualification/EducationDegree holder in any disciplinesExperience RequiredMinimum 3 / 4 years relevant experience in luxury retail industryParticular skills/knowledge requiredHave highly developed and proven analytical skillsBe proactive in terms of finding opportunities to grow the business and be reactive to changes within the marketsPreferably with SAP knowledgeExcellent in MS Excel and Powerpoint.
