The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and supporting compliance with local and international accounting standards. This role will contribute to the effective financial management and operational success of JMG Ghana. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and account reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensure compliance with Ghanaian tax regulations and statutory requirements (VAT, PAYE, CIT, etc. ). Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including supplier and customer reconciliations. Monitor and manage cash flow, bank transactions, and petty cash.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation. Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasts. Ensure proper documentation and archiving of all financial records. Collaborate with operations and procurement teams on cost control and expense tracking. Identify process improvement opportunities within the finance department. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a commercial or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of Ghanaian tax laws Proficiency in accounting software's Strong Excel and financial analysis skills. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
