In this role, you will ensure the accurate preparation, submission, and follow-up of insurance claims for healthcare and ABA therapy services. Responsibilities include verifying service documentation, entering billing data, tracking claim statuses, and assisting with basic billing discrepancy resolution to support timely reimbursement.Working hours: Sunday to Thursday from 16h00pm to 01:00am (SA Time) PLEASE NOTE:Public Holidays: This role requires working on both South African and U.S. public holidays (compensation for SA public holidays in accordance with the BCEA)Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and wired Ethernet capability is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be consideredPower Backup: Reliable backup required to manage load shedding or outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be consideredWork Environment: Fully remoteJob Responsibilities:Claim Processing & BillingPrepare and submit insurance claims accurately and within required timelinesEnter billing and service data into billing systems with high attention to detailVerify session notes, timesheets, and required documentation before claim submissionDocumentation ReviewReview all service and therapist documentation for completeness and accuracyReport any missing or incorrect information to the appropriate team memberInsurance Follow-UpTrack claim statuses and follow up on pending, denied, or returned claimsAssist in identifying basic errors or discrepancies that could cause claim rejectionMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of claim progressIssue ResolutionSupport the billing team in resolving simple billing errors and coding issuesRequest additional information from internal teams when neededCommunication & ReportingCommunicate clearly with internal colleagues and US-based teams when clarification is requiredProvide routine updates on claim progress, trends, or recurring issuesMeet all deadlines and follow required billing workflowsCompliance & ConfidentialityAdhere to US healthcare billing standards and company policiesMaintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelinesRequirementsStrong attention to detail with a methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
