The position combines strategic oversight with hands-on management of privacy processes, vendor assessments, and risk mitigation efforts, all while supporting a fast-paced, agile work setting in the heart of Vienna. Accountabilities:

Develop, maintain, and enhance the data privacy framework to ensure compliance with GDPR and other applicable regulationsServe as the primary liaison to global privacy and security teams, aligning local initiatives with corporate strategiesInterpret complex privacy laws and convert them into actionable policies, procedures, and technical guidelinesManage processes for data subject access requests (DSARs) and other privacy-related inquiries efficientlyAssess and mitigate privacy risks related to third-party vendors and data processors, including contract reviewsDesign and deliver privacy training and awareness programs to cultivate a privacy-conscious culture among employeesMonitor evolving privacy laws and industry best practices to proactively recommend necessary updatesCollaborate with IT and security teams on risk assessments, security measure reviews, and incident response planningSupport compliance audits and contribute expertise for standards such as ISO 27001 and ISO 13485RequirementsStrong expertise in GDPR and practical application of data protection regulationsProven experience in establishing and managing comprehensive data privacy frameworksAbility to bridge legal requirements and technical implementation, effectively communicating with both legal and technical stakeholdersSolid understanding of information security principles, risk management, and relevant security conceptsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of simplifying complex privacy issuesSelf-motivated, able to work independently in a fast-paced, agile startup or corporate environmentBonus:
