Job Summary: Origin is a financial planning platform that manages compensation, benefits, and personal finances for employees. The Data Analyst role involves working collaboratively across teams to derive insights from data, design metrics, and support data-driven decision making to drive the company's growth. Responsibilities: • Design and maintain core business metrics, dashboards, and data products that empower teams to make informed decisions. • Partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Product, and Engineering to uncover insights about user behavior and product engagement. • Translate complex data into actionable insights through clear visualizations and storytelling.
• Model clean, scalable datasets using modern tools like dbt, and Airflow. • Own the full lifecycle of analysis—from question definition and exploration to delivery and iteration. • Drive a culture of curiosity and experimentation, using data to identify growth opportunities and influence product roadmaps. • Ensure high-quality, reliable data through collaboration with engineering and proactive data validation. Qualifications: Required: • Proficiency in SQL, including advanced features like window functions and CTEs. • Experience using Python for data analysis, modeling, or automation. • Self-starter who enjoys working across a cross-functional team. • Experience building dashboards and visualizations in a BI Tool (e. g.
Tableau, Metabase, PowerBI)• Ability to clearly communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related analytical field. • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. • Origin does not sponsor visas. Preferred: • 2-5 years of experience in a data or business intelligence role. • Familiarity with modern data orchestration tools like Airflow and dbt. • Experience with GitHub. • Experience in product and marketing analytics. • Strong statistical skills to guide experimentation roadmaps.
