We proudly serve the Mid-Atlantic region, offering a wide range of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and more.Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Yard Jock / Switcher to join our dynamic transportation and operations team in Harrisburg, PA. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth flow of loaded and empty trailers at our Inbound and Outbound docks. If you have experience in yard operations and a knack for switching or driving, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:Safely move company trailers within and between Feeser’s facilitiesCollaborate with transportation and operations teams to prioritize tasksReport equipment statuses and productivity information accuratelyConduct regular spot checks and report on damaged or inoperable equipmentEnsure switcher equipment is in safe working order through pre/post-trip inspectionsWork a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as neededWhat We’re Looking For:A valid CDL Class A License or military equivalent experienceA safety-driven mindset with strong organizational and prioritization skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of professionalism and strong work ethicAbility to adapt to sudden changes in customer demands or operational goalsDetail-oriented and accurate in all tasksPhysical Requirements:Ability to repeatedly climb in and out of a truck and conduct periodic spot checksMust be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 75 lbs., and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentEffective communication via two-way radioQualifications:1 to 3 years of relevant experience in switcher operations, driving, warehouse, distribution, or military transportation equipment operationsHigh comfort level with backing and operating heavy machineryWhy Join Us? At Feeser’s, Inc., we value our employees and offer a supportive work environment where you can grow and thrive.
