About the job Role Title: Legal Operations Manager & Corporate SecretaryReports to: Chief Legal Officer (CLO)We are seeking a dynamic and high-performing Legal Operations Manager & Corporate Secretary to join our Legal, Risk and Compliance & Sustainability team in Copenhagen.
This hybrid role blends legal operations leadership with board and corporate governance responsibilities. You will play a key role in optimizing legal function performance while ensuring the highest governance and regulatory compliance standards. This is a unique opportunity for a highly organized and proactive legal professional to contribute to the scalability, transparency, and maturity of our legal and corporate governance practices during a period of strategic growth.
This role combines legal operations leadership with corporate governance excellence, playing a key part in setting up and running new legal processes, including new technology, setting up a reporting framework for the Department, and supporting our Board and investors. You will report directly to the Chief Legal Officer and collaborate with cross-functional teams globally. Key responsibilities Legal OperationsLead strategic initiatives, including AI, automation, and technology adoption (e. g. , contract lifecycle management systems, matter management platforms). Design and implement systems, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the legal department.
Create and manage contract templates, playbooks, and knowledge libraries to ensure consistency and compliance. Track legal KPIs and prepare reports for internal stakeholders, including executive and finance teams. Assist with department budgeting, outside counsel management, and invoice review processes. Support with department hiring, onboarding, and professional development coordination. Corporate Secretary Functions (Group Level)Serve as Corporate Secretary at Group Level Manage board and shareholder meeting logistics: prepare agendas, distribute materials, and record accurate minutes. Ensure corporate records, charters, policies, and governance documents are maintained and up to date.
Support regulatory filings, annual reports, compliance calendars, and governance policies, including conflicts of interest and codes of conduct. Cross-functional CollaborationLead and provide operational support for corporate transactions, financings, due diligence processes, investor requests, and compliance audits. Lead global projects and coordinate with local teams to ensure legal compliance in all our markets. Work closely with the Finance and HR teams to ensure integrated support for business objectives. Act as a key point of contact for internal audits, external counsel, and regulatory bodies. Key QualificationsBachelor’s degree required; law degree or equivalent legal training preferred but not required.
5+ years of experience in legal operations, corporate governance, or a similar role, ideally in a private or multinational company. Experience supporting Boards of Directors and senior management in a Corporate Secretary function. Strong understanding of Danish corporate law, cross-border governance practices, and corporate governance principles; international exposure a plus. Proven project management skills and experience driving legal transformation or operational improvement initiatives. Experience managing a team and stakeholder management. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Fluent in English (Danish and/or additional European languages a plus). High attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
