Role ExpectationsAssess usability risks across all user-facing products and provide actionable insights to enhance user experience. Collaborate with business leaders, product managers, engineers, and other designers to create intuitive and engaging interfaces. Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions. Develop and maintain design guidelines and best practices to ensure consistency across products. Advocate for the user throughout the product development process, ensuring that user needs are prioritized. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve product usability. Ideal temperament: Empathetic and user-focused, with a passion for understanding user needs and behaviors.
Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values open communication. Proactive problem-solver who is not afraid to challenge the status quo and propose innovative solutions. Adaptable and resilient, able to navigate ambiguity and pivot when necessary. Skills and qualifications required: Proven experience as a UX designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful product designs. Expertise in usability testing methodologies and user research techniques. Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar. Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders. Experience working in Japan or with Japanese products is highly desirable.
