Learn more at www.earth-foundation.org and www.theearthprize.orgRole DescriptionThe Earth Foundation is seeking volunteer Intellectual Property (IP) Mentors to advise and support student teams participating in The Earth Prize. These young changemakers are developing groundbreaking eco-innovations, and your guidance will help them protect and strengthen their intellectual property strategies.As a Volunteer Advisor, you will:Be matched with 1–3 student teams aligned with your area of expertise and interestProvide mentorship on patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other IP considerationsGuide teams in creating an IP roadmap using our provided templateOffer follow-up support calls every 3–4 months for at least one yearQualificationsLegal background specializing in intellectual property law (including patents, trademarks, or copyright)Experience working with students, schools, or young entrepreneurs is an advantageInterest and experience in mentoringAbility to work independently and remotelyPassion for environmental sustainability and innovationCommitmentFlexible and remote approx. 5 hour per monthWe except you to commit to a one year period, with periodic calls with each team (every 3-4 months depending on need).
