The successful candidate will begin in Accounts Payable to build a strong foundation in our systems, processes, and operations, with the opportunity to progressively take on responsibilities across other finance functions, including general accounting, treasury, reporting, and analysis, as skills and experience growEntering, posting and reconciling accounts payable batchesReconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding balances or discrepanciesSort, organize and match bill and cheque demandsReconcile and set up invoices for payment processing, e.g. on receipt, 15 days or month-endMaintain company accounts to ensure payments are up to dateCorrespond with vendors and internal stakeholders and react to inquiriesMaintain filing systems & office organizationPrepare outgoing mailGeneral administrative duties such as data entry, photocopying, scanning, faxing, sending emails. Other duties as assignedQualifications1-3 years working experience in a similar administrative or restaurant operations capacityCollege diploma (DEC) or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; additional accounting coursework or CPA PREP courses considered an asset.
