Junior Designer📍 Full-time | Remote | Reports to Head of DesignAbout Novatide LabsWe operate across licensed and non-licensed product lines and are building a disciplined commercial engine for new software. A finance background is not required; we value numeracy, creative strategic intelligence, and organised execution.Role OverviewWe’re looking for a Junior Designer eager to apply foundational skills and grow quickly through structured guidance. You’ll contribute to websites, product interfaces, and brand identities while upholding high standards of craft, consistency, and accessibility.What You’ll DoCreate and iterate on design assets across web, UI, and branding projects, following briefs and established guidelines. Design high-quality platforms in Figma and support user testing sessions (planning, observing, note-taking, iterating on insights). Design complete brand systems (logo, typography, colour, iconography, usage rules, and key brand assets). Design websites of varying complexity — from wireframes to polished layouts. Produce innovative social media content aligned with brand voice and objectives. Prepare clean files and document decisions to enable smooth developer handoffs. How You’ll CollaborateWork closely with a Lead of Design and Senior Designers through daily brainstorming and feedback rituals. Partner with other teams — Development, Legal, and Business Analysis — to align requirements, constraints, and timelines; integrate feedback to meet technical, compliance, and business needs. Growth & LearningReceive structured guidance and regular design reviews to refine your process and craft. Dedicated weekly time for research into techniques, tools, and trends — share findings with the team. We value and encourage innovative proposals — bring ideas, references, and experiments. Grow via progressively scoped tasks, from component tweaks to small end-to-end flows. What You BringEvidence of original, innovative, and complete solutions to design briefs (coursework, personal projects, freelance work, etc.). Solid fundamentals in layout, typography, hierarchy, and visual consistency. Receptiveness to feedback, clear communication, and attention to detail. Ability to self-manage focused work and collaborate effectively in team settings. Must HaveFigma (basic level required): ability to design in Figma; ideally familiarity with components, Auto Layout, AI features, and prototyping. If skills are very basic, a commitment to self-learn is essential. Adobe Creative Suite experience (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects or InDesign as relevant). Nice to HaveSkills in AI-assisted design workflows, motion graphics, 3D design, or any other relevant specialty.
