Investment Banking Analyst/Associate - TMT Coverage

We are currently assisting a top 3 investment bank who are looking at add an Analyst 3 or Associate 1 to their TMT coverage team in Sydney. Associates will also be considered if Melbourne is a preferred location. This is a team we have assisted with recruitment many times and have observed the accelerated career progression that this move has provided team members and new joiners first hand.

This team is consistently ranked among the top coverage teams in the Australian market, offering exposure to blue-chip clients, growth companies and major financial sponsors and has a long established track record of advising on landmark M&A and capital markets transactions across telecommunications, data, fibre, media, entertainment and technology sectors. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing and well-resourced coverage team, working closely with senior bankers on complex, high-profile deals across both public and private markets. Key Responsibilities:

End-to-end transaction execution across M&A, ECM, and strategic advisory/defence mandatesBuilding financial models, valuations, and scenario analysisPreparing client materials including pitch books, investor presentations, and board reportsSupporting origination through industry research, benchmarking, and client engagementEngaging directly with founders, C-suite, investors, and internal stakeholders across the regionIdeal Candidate: 2.
