As part of our Accounting Team, you’ll collaborate closely with internal teams such as Sales and Revenue Operations to ensure accurate financial processes and support the company’s growth.You’ll also have the opportunity to play an integral role in the finance team of one of the fastest-growing market research companies in Europe, contributing to key financial operations and helping shape the way we work. Your mission is to not only maintain our financial records, but also continuously find smarter, faster ways of working.What you’ll be doingYou will manage outgoing invoices for Appinio GmbH, working hand-in-hand with Sales and Revenue Operations to ensure accuracy and timelinessYou will own the Dunning Process, ensuring outstanding payments are tracked and resolved efficientlyYou will support and optimize financial ledgers, constantly looking for smarter ways to reduce manual work and speed up processesYou will assist with month-end and year-end closes, collaborating closely with our future Accounting Team Lead to maintain smooth reportingYou will challenge the status quo, identifying and implementing process improvements to make our finance operations more effective and scalable You will thrive in this role ifYou have either minimum 2 years of experience in accounting (ideally in a start-up or fast-paced environment) or an accounting apprenticeship, preferably with a German Finanzbuchhalter qualification or equivalent.You are fluent in English and proficient in German (C2 level spoken and written), with French being a plusYou are comfortable with German tax and accounting standardsYou have an in-depth understanding of business accounting proceduresYou are comfortable with and understand the benefits of AI in financeYou are adept at learning, implementing, and using new toolsYou constantly look for better ways of working and don’t settle for repeating manual tasksYou are ideally located in EUWhat’s in it for you?Flexibility Policy - Our flexibility policy means there is no hard cap on the number of vacation days you can takeTemporary work from abroad - If you're based in the EU, you can work outside your country of residence for up to 180 days per yearAll the hardware you need and your own MacBookIf you are located in Hamburg or Berlin, you'll get a Deutschland ticket or access to a mobility budget with the NAVIT app to get you to and from the office spaceIf you are located in Germany or Spain, you will have access to a Subsidised Urban Sports Club membershipIn case you’re located in one of the cities where most of our fellow Appinioneers are (Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, London, Madrid, Barcelona, or New York), you can get access to our Co-working spaces.Kind reminder: Please ensure that your application is submitted in English.This post not only outlines our ideal candidate but also serves as an inspiration for what this role can evolve into.
