Junior Accountant (m/f/d)

About The JobAs a junior accountant, you will be part of Sofico’s international Finance team, working in close collaboration with your colleagues and focusing on accuracy, timeliness and compliance, mainly ensuring the smooth running of the financial operations by processing accounting transactions and assisting with the month end closing process.Your key responsibilities will include :Bank transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, VAT, accruals, prepayments and reconciliationsProvide support during annual financial auditsFollowing an initial onboarding period, you'll familiarize yourself with our accounting practices and specific business processes, you'll progressively assume accounting responsibility for at least one legal entity With Sofico's sustained expansion, the finance team’s scope of tasks will continuously grow and diversify, providing ample challenges and growth opportunities for every team member.Your Interests And SkillsA degree in Accountancy, Finance or Economics or equivalent experienceAt least 2 to 3 years of significant accounting experience (understanding of financial accounting principles and their application)Good solid technical skills: the ability to navigate and utilize various software effectivelyProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with the ability to perform essential tasks efficientlyAn understanding of VAT and its implications in financial transactionsFluency in English and Dutch, both written and verbal, to ensure clear communication.
