We are a medium-sized company with a start-up culture, valuing a can-do ethos, an open-door policy, and a collaborative, multicultural environment.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Junior AML Officer to support our compliance team in monitoring risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will assist with KYC/KYB checks, transaction monitoring, due diligence, and reporting suspicious activities, while maintaining accurate records and supporting internal teams. Reports to the MLRO.Responsibilities:Assist in the compliance risk assessment process to ensure all risks are identified, assessed, reported, and monitored.Perform KYC/KYB checks and risk assessments on potential clients.Check and understand corporate documents such as certificates of incorporation, shareholder lists, and ownership structures.Respond to money laundering and onboarding questions from other departmentsIdentify, review, and report suspicious activities related to money laundering or terrorist financing.Review alerts generated by the transaction monitoring system and escalate cases when needed.Investigate transactions that do not match the client’s expected activity or risk profile.Help with Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for higher-risk clients when needed.Assist in conducting internal audits and compliance reviews.Keep onboarding records accurate and updated in internal systems.Other duties as reasonably directed by the line manager.Reports to the MLRO.Qualifications:English language is mandatoryDegree in Law, Finance, BusinessExperience and knowledge of dealing with corporate clientsAttention to detail is a mustAbility to interpret regulations (FATF, AMLD)Good communication skillsNice to have:KYC/AML platforms (e.g., Sumsub, World-Check, LexisNexis, Elliptic, Chainanalysis)CRM or onboarding systemsPrevious AML experienceUnderstanding on how blockchain worksAML Certifications (such as ACAMS, CySEC AML)How we approach things:Medium-sized company with a start-up culture and a can-do ethos.We focus on getting stuff done, not on the process or management hierarchy.Open-door policy across all levels and departments.An inclusive environment with staff from all around the worldWhat we offer:A mostly flexible working schedule.Training on the job.Opportunity to progress within the company, not limited to one department or team.Hardware & Software allowance or work equipment is provided to make sure you have all the right tools to get the job done.
