Junior Associate (Internship) - Sustainability Public AffairsWhat’s Happening?The Sustainability team at Weber Shandwick creates world-class work. Our reputation for delivering engaging campaigns that strike up conversations between policy makers and companies means we're working with an enviable client list across a diverse range of sectors including; digital, energy policies, transport, sustainability, trade, financial services and agriculture.We're looking for a smart, curious, and talented intern to join the EU Public Affairs practice of our Sustainability team in Brussels for a 6-month paid traineeship starting in November 2025.How to apply?Are you ready to join our team? Please note that this internship is only offered to people who are not currently enrolled in a University.What you’ll be doingProviding analysis of EU policy issues, focusing predominantly on energy, transport and sustainability, with occasional support required in the field of social policy;Supporting team’s responses to clients’ requests, contributing to the development and execution of public affairs strategies;Working closely with the account leads and the team to provide policy insights and support in the production of materials for clients;Assisting in the implementation of thought leadership campaigns, stakeholder engagement, outreach programmes and occasional organisation of events;Contributing to marketing and business development efforts.What We’re Looking forProactive, dynamic and ready to learn;Interested in topics of either energy, sustainability policies, transport;Know your way around the EU policy and decision-making processes – previous experience within an EU institution or consultancy will be a strong distinguisher;Analytical with good writing skills; your demonstrable ability to research and analyse policies;Fluent in English. Knowledge of other EU languages is a plus; Possessing a strong business acumen;A university degree in political science, public affairs, international relations, law, sustainability, environmental policy or another relevant field.What we offerFlexible working time and teleworking.Onboarding week and senior mentorship that will guide you and be ready to reply to any of your questions.The opportunity to work with our offices across the world, on exciting client work and projects.A salary of €1200 gross/month and a working from home allowance.About the internshipThis six-month paid internship will take place in Brussels.You’ll be embedded in client teams from week 1 – You’ll be equipped with a good overview of the consultancy work and European public affairs.The internship framework is a professional immersion (Convention d’Immersion Professionelle) – this means you will be developed in a structured traineeship programme and equipped with all the skills to become a consultant – literally groomed for success.
