You will learn to identify and develop relationships with new and existing clients, helping them to analyse their skills challenges and needs, and working with them to develop and deliver cutting edge training solutions that address those requirements. You will be required to also have strong administrative and customer service skills. You will support our Business Relationship Managers (BRMs), Head of Corporate Sales and Chief Commercial Officer with a variety of tasks and deliverables, working with R&Y’s client base that spans businesses of all sizes and across all industries. We believe in building lifelong relationships with our top tier clients, and you will play a critical role in delivering on this.Key Responsibilities and Duties:Primarily, you will be working alongside our Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Corporate Sales, and supporting our Business Relationship Managers, in the performance of their duties, which includes:• Identifying and acquiring new corporate clients for Red & Yellow (B2B sales).• Developing opportunities to acquire new markets for sales.• Building lead lists, generate new leads and opportunities and building relationships with new clients• Increasing the value of current customers and new customers.• Diagnosing and matching the skills needs to our skills solutions in order to sell Red & Yellow programmes and courses to corporate clients• Delivering against revenue and sales targets. In most cases, this will involve:- consulting with clients;- diagnosing learning and development challenges;- developing and prescribing solutions that are comprised of Red & Yellow programmes and courses.• Staying in touch with market related and industry trends including attending relevant seminars and events.• Preparing proposals and presentations• Negotiate and closing sales of varying degrees of complexity, scope and valueYou will also be expected to:• Develop a thorough understanding of our courses, so that you can meaningfully engage with prospective clients and identify courses which suit their needs.• Develop a good understanding of our client's business, processes, and sector/industry developments• Become conversant in matters relating to B-BBEE (specifically relating to Skills Development)• Proactively seek ways to improve product and industry knowledge and better understand the target market for courses.• Assume responsibility for own productivity, manage and update account status reports daily, remain up to date on company projects and ensure company and department objectives are met.• Manage and maintain your own individual sales pipeline and contribute towards our sales pipeline to meet sales objectives.• Support team Salesforce excellence: in addition to your own data excellence, help with list uploads and de-duplication, suggest field/picklist improvements, and surface insights via shared dashboards and monthly pipeline reports.• Travel will be required as and when needed to meet with clientsQualifications and Experience• Relevant tertiary qualification essential (commercial qualifications including BCom, BBusSci, Adv. Dip. Marketing &Advertising Communications preferred)• Previous relevant working experience in a sales, customer-service, marketing or similar customer-facing position will be highly advantageous• Tech Savvy with a particular proficiency with MS Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and Generative AI (ChatGPT)• Willing to work in a high-performance target driven environment• Skill in organising time and establishing priorities.Behavioural Attributes and Competencies• Highly Relational: you must be a people-person and be energised by meeting and engaging in person with people.• Natural Networker: this is a crucial attribute for successful business relationship managers.• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will spend a lot of time talking with people(and you will need to be very good and natural with this).
