A new Financial Reporting and Control Team is being established in Mexico and will have oversight and responsibility for the maintenance of Apex’s accounting records, financial reporting and treasury functions at a local office and group level. We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to help lead and manage the Americas Finance team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing Apex Mexico branch and will report to the Head of Finance – Central/South America.Job specification Review month end financial accounts for Apex Mexico branchEnsure all month end procedures are being followed and financial accounts are complete, accurate and within group timelinesAnalyze monthly revenues to ensure they are complete and accurateReview payroll costs to ensure they are complete and accurateEnsure departmental procedures are produced and regularly maintainedEnsure that all reporting deadlines are metAnalyze and present monthly financial results to group financePrepare and co-ordinate the drafting and completion of the annual report and accounts for entities in the regionControl the timely and accurate input of static dataManage the annual budget process for Apex Mexico branchLiaise closely with the Head of Finance – Central/South America and Local Managing DirectorLiaise with business lines and support departments to ascertain their requirementsAssist in developing, standardizing and implementing appropriate internal controlsManage and co-ordinate the year-end audit and tax returns process and other regulatory demands/deliverablesLiaise and assist external auditors during their regular periodic reviewsLiaise with tax consultant to ensure that all tax reporting deadlines are metStay current and abreast of relevant IFRS developments that impact the firmManage ad hoc requests as necessary responsibilities include, but are not limited to performing and coordinating a variety of administrative duties and tasks including  Be the “go to” person for matters related to Apex Mexico branchContinual involvement in the Financial elements of new projectsSkills Required:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related fieldAccounting designation (CA/CPA/CPC or equivalent)Minimum of 5+ years of related work experience in financial services and/or public accounting with several years in full cycle accountingProficient with Excel, accounting systems and general ITFully conversant in IFRSExperience with Mexican sales tax is an asset and regulatory filingStrong technical finance skills with ability to understand complex financial statementsAbility to work flexibly and adapt to the different time zones of the office locationsSelf-motivated with a can do attitudeAbility to work on own initiative, managing own time and workloadExcellent communication skills, written and spoken English and Spanish with the ability to communicate effectively amongst all levels of the organizationReliable, committed, supportive and acts in a professional mannerHave the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst delivering to a high standardNice to have experience with implementing new systemsWe pride ourselves in our commitment to fostering a connected and inclusive culture, all our opportunities at Apex have five (5) days in office requirement.Kindly submit English CV upon applicationDisclaimer: Unsolicited CVs sent to Apex (Talent Acquisition Team or Hiring Managers) by recruitment agencies will not be accepted for this position.
