Insight Global is hiring a Data/Business Analyst to join the team of a dynamic and rapidly expanding digital solutions company. The successful candidate will support the Head of Data & Analytics and business stakeholders by:Data Stewardship & Governance:Partnering with data owners and subject matter experts to define, document, and maintain business definitions, data standards, and metadata. Supporting stewardship activities across key data domains to improve accuracy, consistency, and trust in enterprise data.Business Requirements & Documentation:Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather, clarify, and translate business needs into clear data and reporting requirements. Creating BRDs, user stories, process maps, and data flow documentation to bridge technical and non-technical perspectives.Master Data Management (MDM):Supporting the design and refinement of entity resolution and data mastering logic. Applying data science–driven patterns to identify, curate, and reconcile records across systems (e.g., organizations, people, partners).Data Quality & Curation:Profiling data and identifying quality issues; working with engineering and data science teams to define rules and processes for cleansing, deduplication, and enrichment of critical datasets.Business Intelligence & Reporting:Developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide insight into business performance and data quality metrics. Collaborating with business teams to ensure BI outputs are accurate, intuitive, and aligned with decision-making needs.Collaboration & Communication:Partnering with the Principal Data Architect, Data Engineers, and business leads to ensure alignment between technical delivery and business goals. Acting as a liaison between data teams and business units to foster shared understanding of data assets and definitions.Continuous Improvement:Supporting initiatives to mature data governance, documentation, and analytics practices—promoting data-driven decision-making across the organization.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).3–4 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role supporting enterprise data and analytics initiativesStrong SQL skills for data exploration, validation, and light transformation.Experience with modern BI tools (e.g., Tableau) for report and dashboard development.Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.Exposure to data modeling concepts and basic data pipeline logic.Exceptional communication skills, able to translate between technical and business contexts.Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.Nice to Have:Exposure to data stewardship programs or data governance councils.Familiarity with data science concepts for clustering, deduplication, or similarity scoring.Understanding of MDM concepts, entity resolution, and data quality frameworks.Experience working with metadata management and governance tools (e.g., OpenMetadata).This role is a 6 month contract-to-hire. Pay starting at $30/hr depending on relevant skills & experience.
