Junior Data Engineer

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with cloud data technologies, work alongside experienced engineers, and develop strong technical and professional skills in a rapidly growing field.The role entails:• Assist in the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation • Work with SQL databases (e.g., Azure SQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) • Utilize Python (or another scripting language) for data processing tasks • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams in client projects • Support data modeling, data quality checks, and documentation activities • Contribute to a structured, organized, and quality-driven development process • Learn and grow in modern cloud platforms (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Fabric, etc.) • Use Git for version control and teamworkQualifications and Experience• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, or a related field • 1-2 years of experience in data management or integration • Strong knowledge of SQL and/or Python • Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset • Good written and verbal communication skills • Desire to learn new technologies and follow best practices • Ability to work methodically, follow structured processes, and respect deadlinesNot Required, but Great to Have• Academic or practical experience with ETL/ELT or data pipelines • Familiarity with Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Databricks, or similar) • Exposure to BI tools (Qlik Sense, Power BI) • Basic understanding of data warehousing or data modeling principles • Experience with Git or other version control systems • Certifications or online courses related to cloud/data engineeringWITSIDE offers a dynamic working environment and projects that attract top talent in data engineering and analytics.
