Junior DevOps Engineer

Job Title: DevOps EngineerExperience Level: 1+ YearsSalary: upto 80k About the RoleWe are looking for a DevOps Engineer with at least 1 year of practical experience in managing deployments, automation, and Linux server infrastructure. The ideal candidate should be skilled with Linux based environments, CLI-based administration, and containerized application deployments.You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure smooth CI/CD workflows, stable infrastructure, and efficient environment management across QA, UAT, and Production.Key ResponsibilitiesManage, deploy, and maintain services across on-premise and private cloud environments.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using BitBucket Pipelines, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.Administer and optimize server environments including system setup, package management, services, permissions, and security hardening.Implement infrastructure automation using Ansible, Bash scripting, or other tools.Manage Docker-based environments, including image building, volume management, and network configurations.Configure and manage reverse proxies (NGINX, HAProxy, or Traefik) and SSL/TLS certificates.Set up system monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or ELK stack.Ensure system security, user access control, and data backup/restore strategies.Collaborate with developers to support application builds, releases, and rollbacks.Perform incident analysis, troubleshoot environment issues, and optimize resource utilization.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.1+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Linux system administration, or infrastructure operations.Good understanding of Linux systems and command-line tools.Good understanding of Docker and containerized deployments.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (BitBucket Pipelines, Jenkins, etc.).Working knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, Python) for automation.Experience with NGINX configuration, reverse proxying, and SSL management.Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, firewalls, and routing.Familiarity with monitoring and alerting systems.Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
