You’ll be part of a supportive team that values professionalism, curiosity, and client success.What You’ll DoAs a Junior IT Technician at Plextec, you’ll be part of our frontline technical team, helping maintain and support our clients’ IT systems and data center operations.Your responsibilities include:Monitoring IT systems and responding to alerts using Plextec’s monitoring toolsTroubleshooting network, server, application, and hardware issuesPerforming backups, patching, and regular maintenanceProviding Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to clients via phone, remote tools, and onsite visitsLogging and tracking all issues in our incident/ticketing system (ConnectWise PSA or equivalent)Assisting in maintaining and supporting:Networking (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Access Points)Windows Servers (Active Directory, Exchange, Hyper-V)Linux/UNIX systemsProxmox clusters and backupsServer and SAN hardware in our data centersWorking with senior technicians and service desk teams to resolve escalated issuesFollowing change management and security protocols for all customer-impacting workWho You AreWe’re looking for someone who’s not just technically capable but also proactive, adaptable, and client-focused.You’re someone who:Has a strong sense of ownership and problem-solving abilityCommunicates clearly and professionally with clients and colleaguesCan multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced MSP environmentEnjoys learning new technologies and improving processesWhat You’ll BringEducation & ExperienceDegree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related IT field — or equivalent experience1–2 years of experience in a technical support, systems, or network roleTechnical SkillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server environmentsExperience with:Hyper-V (required)Proxmox (required)Mikrotik Routers and routing (required)Azure, Microsoft 365, and AWS (asset)3CX PBX, Citrix XEN, FreeNAS, UNIX/Linux/BSD (asset)Understanding of firewall, VPN, and routing conceptsFamiliarity with data center operations and IT service delivery best practicesValid G driver’s license and reliable vehicle (for onsite support)Excellent English communication skillsWhy Join PlextecComprehensive benefits, including:Extended health and dental careLife insuranceOn-site parkingCasual dress and a supportive team cultureIn-office position with occasional remote work permitted only under special circumstances (e.g., illness or severe weather)Opportunities for professional development — training and certifications may be discussed if they become relevant to the roleReady to Grow with Us?If you’re passionate about IT and want to build your career with a company that values initiative, teamwork, and continuous improvement, Plextec is the place for you.Apply today and start your journey with Plextec!
