We're looking for a Junior ParalegalWe're looking for a Junior Paralegal within our in-house Litigation team, you will support the effective and smooth running of the collections and Litigation function through undertaking tasks to ensure the timely drafting and filing of documents, together with other administrative tasks to aid the department as a whole. With all this growth, we’re looking for people who want to learn on the job and lead projects, knowing that your ideas will impact thousands of small businesses.The roleAs a Junior Paralegal, Your Role Will Be ToDraft legal correspondence with support from Senior ParalegalsWork closely with team members in Collections and Litigation to ensure clerical order across the department, facilitating positive customer outcomesHandle inbound and outbound correspondence for the departmentCollection and delivery of physical post each dayAssist Collection Managers & Paralegals with referrals to third parties, such as Solicitors, High Court Enforcement Officers and Insolvency PractitionersFile records and log incoming mailDraft letters as part of the legal processContribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the teamKeep accurate system records of activities, observations and outcomes within the Collections and Litigation processesAlert relevant Collector or Paralegal of issues requiring their attentionEnsure compliance with all appropriate legislation regulatory body guidelines and adhere to our company policies and proceduresIdeally You'll HaveGreat organisational and time management skillsAbility to think on your feet while following Collections and Litigation processes and policiesExcellent communication skills and teamwork - you’ll be liaising with colleagues across the business and also external suppliersAbility to prioritise and organise workloadAbility to learn quickly and develop both new and existing skillsStrong attention to detail with high levels of accuracyConfident to raise issues that may need addressing or suggest improvements to existing processesAbility to perform well under the pressure of multiple deadlinesEntrepreneurial spirit with a real enthusiasm for helping SMEsPrevious legal/administrative experience would be ideal but is not essentialPrevious knowledge of Google Docs and Google Sheets would be beneficialBe smart, humble and motivatedWork-life balance is incredibly important at iwoca and we offer flexible working so you can make better use of your free time.
