Our team shares a passion for wellness, food & beverage, design and world class travel.Job DescriptionThe Junior Publicist supports the needs of the agency's business including: administrative duties, account support, building and managing media lists, pitching and creative brainstorming to keep ahead of current trends and what’s happening in our client’s worlds.At LCM, we provide a sense of belonging and foster a company culture where every voice is welcome, heard and respected. There is a level of support and commitment from management, colleagues and others so that all people–individually and collectively–can do their best work and contribute to the overall success of the organization.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and collect press coverage for clients; create weekly reports for clientsBuild, qualify and manage database of media, bloggers and influencersPrepare agendas and materials for all internal meetings (client and team). Take client-facing meeting notes to provide recaps and action items to follow all meetings. Draft press releases, Q&A documents, biographies and other press materials including editorial pieces and contentConduct proactive and reactive media pitching; seek out creative ideas and opportunities; identify and cultivate story ideas for media pitchingManage editorial calendars and find ways to get clients involvedContribute to creative brainstorming sessionsFollow industry and client category trends; share insights and key findings as it relates to competitorsQualificationsInternship experience in communications or marketing (agency preferred)Strong Interest in public relations in the F&B, hospitality and travel industriesStrong writing skills and an ability to think creatively
