Job Description

Penthouse living for a one-of-a-kind role awaits! Leading the high-end student accommodation market in South Africa, our client has re-imagined luxury living for the young and ambitious by owning, redeveloping, and managing their portfolio in-house, offering a leisure-like lifestyle across over 10,000 beds in multiple cities. This will have you based on-site at their Pretoria residence, taking charge as a Junior Residence Manager to ensure the building operates seamlessly and that every student’s stay is safe, enjoyable, and up to the company’s exceptional standards. This will have you dealing with facilities, utilities, suppliers, budgeting, financial control, and staff management, while ensuring that maintenance, housekeeping, and security are always in order. You will oversee health and safety compliance, track energy and water consumption, manage service providers, and implement creative sustainability initiatives. This will also have you managing residence life programmes, handling student registrations, resolving tenant issues quickly, and ensuring that both students and parents experience outstanding service and care. You will work closely with finance and HR, manage operational costs, and maintain smooth day-to-day running of the building. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a background in hospitality, facilities, or residential management.
