This is a long-term opportunity for someone eager to start their career in cloud infrastructure and reliability engineering. We welcome recent graduates or early-career professionals with a strong desire to learn.As part of the team, you’ll help ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud systems while learning from experienced engineers. You’ll work closely with senior team members, assisting with automation, monitoring, and maintenance tasks that keep our systems running smoothly.You’ll be joining at an exciting time as we continue to evolve and modernize our infrastructure. This is a great opportunity to learn best practices, develop your skills, and grow within a supportive environment.What You’ll DoHelp maintain cloud systems and services to ensure reliability and performance.Work with Terraform and scripting to automate tasks and manage infrastructure as code.Set up and maintain dashboards, alerts, and logs using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.Learn how to apply cloud security best practices and support compliance efforts.Work with other engineers to troubleshoot issues, document procedures, and share what you learn.Growth OpportunitiesLearn directly from experienced SREs and DevOps engineers.Take ownership of small projects or automation tasks.Gain experience with multiple cloud providers (GCP, AWS).Develop into a mid-level SRE role with increasing responsibility.🛠️ Your ProfilNice-to-Have Knowledge (or Willingness to Learn)Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).Familiarity with Linux systems and command-line tools.Some experience (academic or personal) with IaC (Terraform, etc.).Awareness of networking basics (DNS, HTTP, TLS).Interest in monitoring tools (Datadog, etc.).Understanding of source control (Git).Soft SkillsCuriosity and eagerness to learn new technologies.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.Willingness to take initiative and ask questions.BackgroundBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field — or equivalent practical experience (projects, bootcamp, self-taught).Whether you’re just starting out or have up to 2 years of experience, what matters most is your enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.🌟 What Success Looks Like3 Months: You’ve completed onboarding, understand our tools and workflows, and contributed to documentation or small automation tasks.6 Months: You’ve taken ownership of a small area (e.g., monitoring, CI/CD pipeline improvement) and regularly contribute to team discussions.12 Months: You’re confident working independently on tasks, contributing ideas for improvement, and mentoring new interns or juniors.💚 Our recruitment process1️⃣ A 30’ introductory call with a Talent Acquisition Specialist to get to know you better and share more about Shine' culture and mission.2️⃣ A 45’ conversation with manager, where you will dive into your experience, career aspirations, and vision for this role.3️⃣ Technical discussions with team members, online case study4️⃣ A 45' soft skills interview to see how we can best support your growth at Shine.
