Cloudathlete is building the operating system for sport: a modular, multi-sport platform powering governing bodies, clubs, competitions, learning, comms and more. We’re expanding our engineering team and looking for a Junior Developer who wants to grow fast, ship real features, and help build products used by athletes, officials, volunteers and NGBs worldwide.What you’ll work withOur stack is modern, lively, and used across real federations every single day:Backend: .NET 8, C#, Entity Framework, Web APIsFrontend: TypeScript, React, Next.jsMobile/App: React Native (bonus points if you’ve shipped something)Database: MS SQL Server + Azure SQL + PostgreSQLCloud: Azure, Docker, CI/CD pipelinesSupporting tech: Stripe, PowerBI, Mailchimp, QuickPay, a growing library of external APIs, and our own CloudIQ AI layer, utilising OpenAI and Vercel AI SDKYou don’t need to know all of this yet, but you should be confident in at least one part of the stack and hungry to expand.What you’ll doThis is a hands-on junior role where you’ll shape real features and learn fast.You’ll:Build and refine platform modules, UIs, and APIsDevelop app features across web and mobileParticipate in code reviews and sprint planningHelp diagnose weird-and-wonderful bugsWrite and execute tests (unit, integration, and functional) to keep releases smoothWork with senior devs to improve QA processes and automated testingShip production code early and oftenHelp bring Cloudathlete’s next-generation features (AI, rankings, analytics, dynamic forms) to lifeWhat we’re looking for6–18 months of development experience (flexible depending on portfolio)Experience with .NET or TypeScript/ReactIdeally some experience with mobile/app development (React Native or similar)An interest in writing clean, testable codeA proactive approach to testing and quality, not just “happy path” checkingCuriosity, a tidy coding style, and a willingness to learn quicklyPassion for sport or fitness is a bonus, not a requirementInterest or preferably experience using AI agents to enhance developmentWhat we offerCompetitive salary for a junior roleHybrid working (Sheffield HQ)Real ownership of featuresA chance to help build one of the UK’s fastest-growing sports platforms from the insideA supportive team that believes juniors grow fastest by doing, not watching
