Our Key Accounts teams aim to support all relevant activities and projects in relation with those Institutions.Say HI* – to your career asKAM European UnionAt the Brussels branch officeAs Key Account Manager EU, your role is to understand the customer’s business and to articulate how Thales, as a Group, can help the customer to perform better.With this understanding, the Account Manager delivers profitable order intake based on the account plan he/she builds. The role helps Thales to increase its long-term wallet share with the customer.This position is responsible for European Union Account and reports to the VP International Organisations (who is also KAM NATO).Your missionBuild the Account Plan in order to define the account strategy and align the plan with the customer (ie EU’s institutions & agencies) and the internal stakeholders by:Understanding the customer's stakes, expectations and vision and how Thales offers can support the customer's businessMonitoring the performance of Thales’ competitors with the customerIdentifying and Defining Strategic Initiatives, in collaboration with the customer, to generate growth beyond business as usual and contributing to build and strengthen a customer relationship based on partnership)Orchestrate and network with all internal and external stakeholders by:Sharing general interest information on the customer (i.e. Customer strategy and structure, customer needs, budgets) and share those insights across all Business Units.Orchestrating, aligning and managing the account team (on subjects such as tendering, project execution, technology portfolio, customer satisfaction…) and supporting the sales teams in all actions required to close Order IntakeSharing the Account Plan and facilitating the execution of the related action plan with countries and GBUs involved. The Account Manager takes part in the enhancement and update of Group CRM dataInforming the account team of customer satisfaction issues and supporting the development of customer satisfaction measuring in the accountAct as “One face to the customer” on behalf of Thales by:Maximizing customer satisfactionSetting actions together with the customer to develop trust and loyalty between both organizationsDeveloping Group Order Intake in the short and medium term by managing Customer intimacyDriving and securing strategic Initiatives as defined in the Account PlanWe are looking forward toYou already have a proven experience of 5 to 10 years as Key Account Manager, Business Developer or Sales Manager in the Defense Sector and/or in the European Institutions.You have experience in complex projects with high valueYou are used to international and institutional environmentsYou speak both English and French fluently (At least C1 level in both)You have a natural orientation towards networking (both internal and external) and collaborationAn experience in capturing public/institutional subsidies and funds is a plusActs naturally as a team builder and is a good communicatorAbility to convince, persuade and negotiate, both internally & externallyAbility to build a strong network of stakeholders and develop customer intimacy with this networkThales is a global technology leader with more than 81,000 employees on five continents.
