Role OverviewThe electrical design engineer is responsible for the development and delivery of electrical designs to facilitate the manufacture of complex automated equipment. The role includes design, materials sourcing, and procurement, offering guidance to build teams and assisting in debug & test activities where required.
DutiesDeveloping electrical designs for complex automation projectsDetailing electrical schematics for buildSourcing of electrical components for designsCreating test plans and documentation packs for developed electrical designsAssisting in electrical debug of systemsLiaising with customers & suppliersMeeting project delivery deadlinesRequirementsCandidates must have a general electrical/electronic engineering degree diploma, ideally with a manufacturing contentMust have a minimum of 3 years industry experience involving electrical design, industrial wiring and debugging of manufacturing equipmentFamiliarity with m/c elements such as; electrical controls, AC/DC motors, servo motors, invertors, general panel equipment, drives and pneumaticsExperience of using software packages, Eplan, Autocad, Microsoft officeBasic knowledge & understanding of PLC programming and controls methodologiesThe ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and driven to deliver inside normally expected timelinesThe candidate will need to be a team player and fit well within a team of professional individualsLegally able to work in IrelandWillingness to live near Sligo as role is office basedCurrent driving licence and able to travel as requiredSalary And BenefitsAttractive Salary Package.
