Job Description

TitleDG BOSS: PainterAs directed by the Superintendent, may load, transport, unload, materials, tools, equipment, and supplies. Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary. May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials during installation. Responsible for mixing paints, matching colors, preparing surfaces, and applying paint to these surfaces. May perform touch-ups or coordinate large painting projects related to the construction industry. Installs, repairs, and maintains drywall, wall texturing, and ceiling acoustic texturing.

Applies paints, stains, surface preparatory materials, and undercoating materials to a variety of surfaces, as appropriate, and according to Materials Safety Data Sheets ensuring compliance with hazardous materials guidelines. Maintains existing paint surfaces through matching and tinting of appropriate paint products. Identification, safe handling, and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials, and other hazardous materials. Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up activities.

Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties and activities as directed. Basic QualificationsMust have knowledge and skill in hazardous materials handling, application, and disposal. Must speak, read, and understand the English Language. Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health. Must have a valid Professional Driver’s License with at least Restriction Code 2. Must have basic knowledge of Maximo and TabletPreferred QualificationsJOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING: Painting certification/s is required. EducationMust have at least High School diploma, Vocational or Technical course Graduate is required.
