Job Description

TitleDG BOSS: WelderRepairs structures by dismantling, reshaping, and reassembling metal components using cutting torches and hand tools. Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements. Set ups components for welding according to specifications (e. g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements). Monitors machinery for appropriate usage and temperature. Welds components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions. Prepares metal surfaces by cleaning with chemical solutions and wire brushes to remove impurities such as scale, rust, grease, and moisture. Cleans work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.

Follows and enforces strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes. Performs other duties as assigned. Basic QualificationsMust be able to read, interpret blueprints and design and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and instructions. Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, bending, standing, climbing or walking. Must speak, read, and understand the English Language. Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health. Must have a valid Professional Driver’s License with at least Restriction Code 2. Must have basic knowledge of Maximo and TabletPreferred QualificationsJOB SPECIFICATIONS:

SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING: Certification/s are required: Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) - NC I, II, IIIGas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) - NC I, II, IIIGas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) - NC I, II, III, IVShielded Arc Welding (SMAW) - NC I, II, III, IVEducationMust have at least High School diploma, Vocational or Technical course Graduate is required.
