We are seeking a seasoned Accountant to oversee and manage financial operations in alignment with organizational policies and relevant legislation. The role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation and reporting within the Logistics, Transport, and Supply Chain sector. ResponsibilitiesAccounting - Enable accurate and timely reconciliation and reporting. Check correct recording of transactions including payroll. Accurate and timely closure of monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting. Maintain Journal entries and reconciliation of the General Ledger. Prepare Profit and Loss statements as well as monthly closing and cost accounting reports. Prepare and review budgets, revenue, expenses, statements, invoices etc.
Financial Reporting – Check data entry. Provide support with the statutory reporting processes. Prepare accounting, statistical and narrative statements and reportsManagement information – Checking availability and administration of financials. Maintain financial databases, software systems and manual systems. RequirementsBachelor’s degree of higher in Accounting (BCom)10+ years prior Accounting / Financial experience3+ years international Financial environment experienceFreight Forwarding industry knowledge – non-negotiableCargowise and SAP a must have
