📍 Location: Bucharest, Romania (On-site)📦 Sector: FMCG – Processed Foods (Meat, Dairy, Seafood, Dough)🕘 Travel: ~30% across Romania💬 Languages: Romanian (fluent), English (good verbal/written)🧭 About the RoleWe’re hiring a Key Account Manager – Modern Trade for a leading European food group with operations in Romania. This role is ideal for candidates with a hunter mindset — individuals who thrive on opening new client accounts, securing first orders, and building long-term retail partnerships from scratch.You’ll work on-site, reporting directly to the Regional Manager based abroad, and own full account responsibility across modern trade retail chains.⚠️ This is not a farming role — your success will be measured by new client acquisition and revenue growth.🎯 What You’ll Do:Acquire and grow key accounts in the modern trade / hypermarket segmentIdentify new clients and initiate first orders — new business is your main KPIManage full client lifecycle: acquisition, profitability, performanceConduct regular field visits for shelf audits, assortment checks, competitor analysisDevelop SKU pricing models and promotional strategies for each partnerEnsure compliance with contracts, payment terms, and delivery timelinesCommunicate changes clearly (price updates, assortment changes, etc.)Track and report progress through the company's internal CRM system✅ Who You Are:3+ years in FMCG sales (food or beverage is a plus)Proven experience working with major retail chains: Metro, Kaufland, Carrefour, Auchan, etc.A true hunter profile – you enjoy prospecting, opening doors, and closing dealsConfident negotiator with a strong understanding of pricing, margins, and promo ROIStrong Excel and MS Office skillsHighly proactive, self-driven, and field-orientedFluent in Romanian, strong English communication💰 What’s Offered:Competitive base salary (depending on experience)Quarterly bonuses up to 30% of annual salary (~1 extra salary/quarter)Occasional performance-based bonusesFuel and personal car reimbursement (company car possible later)21–25 days of vacation per year (based on tenure)Office-based role with flexibility for travel🚀 Why Join?You’ll be working in a flat team structure reporting directly to international leadershipHuge room for growth — our mission is to onboard as many new retail clients as possible over the next 2 yearsYou’ll get real autonomy and visibility within a fast-growing FMCG company expanding across the Baltics and CEE
