At Kuehne+Nagel, our work is about more than we imagine.‎How you create impact To directly manage Key Account(s), in accordance with agreed targets, goals + company guidelines, eliciting customer needs + selling our key products + services.To ensure understanding of all customer organizations, business model and decision-making processesTo engage KN network proactively and work closely with the NA KAMs in Japan.To negotiate rates with customers in alignment with the business units (BU), ensuring rate sheets are documented + maintained as needed by the BU’s.To ensure compliance with our sales management processes + systems, ensuring correct + timely updates in our customer relationship system (CRM)To monitor monthly performance against set targets ensuring that immediate actions address deviations.To ensure that account plan(s) are in place based on internal processes + templates which are signed off by the respective sales manager.Manage & support efficiently all the RFQ’s by obtaining strong support from the Trade Management / Pricing teams.To effectively hand over + transition new business into operations to ensure that customer requirements + company's commitments are met.To conduct regular + structured review sessions with assigned customers including; process for continuous improvement + innovation, review of customer strategy + priorities to deliver operational excellence.What we would like you to bringLanguage Requirement: Excellent communication and influencing/ negotiation skills and Japanese Speaking Client Focus: Will develop and manage relationships with Japanese customersIndustry Background: Freight forwarding or logistics experience is essentialCommunication Skills: Able to engage directly with shippers and understand their requirements. Able to bring new business in the organization.Build up relationship internal and external; highly organized with the ability to wear multiple hats in a fast moving environment and drive performance and build differentiators.
